Howag Bulgaria with new cobot
Since the beginning of 2024 Howag Ltd. – Bulgaria has a new assistant: the UR3e cobot.
Cobots (collaborative robots) are intended for direct human-robot interaction within a shared space, or where humans and robots are in close proximity. Cobot applications contrast with traditional industrial robot applications in which robots are isolated from human contact. Cobot safety may rely on lightweight construction materials, rounded edges, and inherent limitation of speed and force, or on sensors and software that ensure safe behavior.
UR3e is a brand new cobot with compact dimensions and weight of 11 kg. It has a reach of 500mm and can lift objects of up to 3 kg. The cobot has precise movements with high repeatability and agility. It can be programmed to perform different operations, and with the proper attachments it can do things like moving, gluing, polishing, screwing, measuring, welding and so on.
